Friday May 29

 Morning Message:

June is approaching next week and we would like to let you know that we recognize that this is always a challenging time of year for students to keep up their enthusiasm and motivation for learning!  We would usually have a number of field trips, outdoor activities and other special events happening as a natural part of the year-end learning.  Your children, and you as parents, have been doing a fantastic job for the past few months of learning from home.  Thank you so much!

We will continue to update the blog each day at noon so that you can then make a plan with your child for when the best time will be for working on the tasks.  If mornings are better,  then wait for the next morning for better engagement!  As well, there will be a continued number of assignments, like the Edward Tulane project, that are there to work on when you can.  Should you be needing more for your child to do, please see the Optional Activities in your Google Classroom or the Super Hero Challenge activities.

Today's Updates:

  • Parents: Today is the deadline to submit your choices for the year end celebration.  Mrs. Coulson will be sending everyone who has submitted a choice, an email with information on how to proceed with your specific task.  Look for that email coming next week with more information! The choices are below within the letter.

  • Reminder for Grade 4 students: Please email your photo for the Photo Project to the EHS yearbook council by Sunday, May 31. The email was sent out last week.
  • Challenges arise for families all the time – there is a wide spectrum of support available 24/7 for things any family might need at 2-1-1.
  • Have you taken up the Eric Harvie Design Challenge?  We can't wait to see your creativity come to life throughout this project!  Please remember that this is an optional activity.
