Today's Updates

• "Optional" and extension activities will no longer appear here at the bottom of the daily blog!  They have been moved to your Google Classroom under the assignment heading "Optionals".  This will include Mr. Der and Ms. Coulsen's regular updates.  

• Tomorrow is Writers' Workshop for all students.  Students not working with Mrs. Zwack can choose a time that suits them and will use the codes below.  The Zwack group only meets at 11:00.  Please be sure to check feedback comments for your submitted assignment and make necessary adjustments before this session!  If you made changes please hit the RESUBMIT button so your teacher can see your work.

In an effort to simplify our routine all Google Meets times will be the same as last week. We will post reminders of the times as we get closer to the days of our Google Meets sessions. It may helpful to create your own weekly schedule.   Passwords will remain the same.

Task #1. (15 minutes)
Edward Tulane - Chapter 19    This is a bit of a sad chapter and if you feel your child is sensitive you may want to listen and discuss what happens.

You may also wish to listen to the recording before sharing with your child.  Then you can decide if you would like to let them listen.  

Please know that we have adapted this chapter from the original content and have left out specific details to reduce any connection with the current Covid crisis.  

Task #2 (45 minutes over two days)
Math - New Math assignments have been published in your Google Classroom for both grades 3 and grade 4.  This work will be due on Thursday.

Task #3 (ongoing)
Work on ongoing reading and writing assignments for their next due date as stated in the assignment on Google Classroom.
